The First Guy to Ever Drink Coffee

The guy who discovered coffee is said to be an Ethiopian goat herder named Kaldi. He noticed his goats dancing energetically after they consumed the beans of a coffee plant, which grew wild there at the time. After trying them himself, there was no turning back.

Ryan George, on the other hand, retells the story from the perspective of a guy who will try anything, and that includes boiling beans and drinking the resulting sludge. In this scenario, he is the first person to ever do so. His friend cannot believe the stupidity of this act, until he tries some coffee himself. The video is caffeinated, so it goes pretty fast and is only two and half minutes long. The rest is an ad.

All we see of USA is on movies and TV (we get swamped by those) and so it is with wonder that we (ok, me really) see you all drinking your coffee black.
Civilised people (ok again, me) drink coffee that has been added to a cup of hot milk, which has normally been frothed some.
We have names like cappuccino (cappuccini for more then one) and flat white, and ... others.
Tried drinking it black, have a friend who actually does so by choice, uggh, a bit bitter, pales in comparison with the creamy and lovely way I make coffee.
A double hit from the grinder, heat by steam 150ml of milk mixed with 50ml of cream ... a sprinkle of chocolate powder on top when done ... YUM.

Oh, ml. is an abbreviation of millilitres, and they are 1/1000th of a litre, the clue is in the prefix mill, which means thousand (remember, kids, million the word comes from one thousand thousand).
Using metric is simple, it is based on the decimal system, just like money, you know how to count and divide money, right ?
Then you can easily master metric.
I recommend you pick up the habit of using it, much easier than dividing 12 by 3.7 or whatever it was the British people did back in 1530 or something, when they based their measurements on the size of the king's thumb ... AND HIS OTHER BODY PARTS.

The discovery of the beans and their effect is usually attributed to Ethiopia, but the invention of roasting the beans and then drinking the sludge is clearly a Yemeni thing (Mokha!)
